Cardas Research & Consulting Sdn Bhd (“CRCG”) wishes to alert our employees, clients, mystery shoppers, suppliers, business partners, job applicants and members of the public that fraudsters have attempted to impersonate our Company and members of our management through fraudulent emails and electronic communications.

These communications are not authorized by Cardas Research & Consulting Sdn Bhd .

How The Scam Works

Fraudsters may:

  • Use the name of our CEO or employees
  • Imitate our Company’s identity
  • Send emails from unofficial email addresses
  • Contact recipients through WhatsApp, SMS or other messaging platforms
  • Request urgent payments or purchases.

Their objective is to deceive recipients into transferring money or purchasing cryptocurrency, gift cards, vouchers or other digital products.

Important Reminder

Cardas Research & Consulting Sdn Bhd staff may legitimately contact registered mystery shoppers or research participants via telephone, SMS or WhatsApp regarding project coordination.

However, Cardas Research & Consulting Sdn Bhd will never ask you to:

  • Purchase cryptocurrency or digital coins.
  • Purchase gift cards, vouchers, prepaid cards or gaming cards.
  • Transfer money using your personal funds.
  • Disclose passwords, OTPs or banking credentials.
  • Any such request should be treated as fraudulent unless independently verified.

Protect Yourself

If you receive a suspicious communication:

  • Verify the sender’s email address;
  • Do not rely solely on the display name;
  • Do not click suspicious links;
  • Do not open unexpected attachments;
  • Do not make payments;
  • Verify the request through Cardas Research & Consulting Sdn Bhd official contact channels.

His over thirty years of experience in strategic management, finance, and technology management, coupled with a proven track record of driving organizational growth and performance, make him a reliable and competent professional.

Dr. Sharbani's leadership and ability to drive growth and performance were evident during his tenure as the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) and Senior Vice President (SVP) at Technology Park Malaysia Corporation Sdn Bhd (now known as MRANTI) from July 2006 to August 2021. His 15-year tenure was marked by his pivotal role in catalyzing the growth of Malaysian technology firms. As the company's second-in-command, he often stepped into the role of Interim CEO, collaborating closely with senior officials from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF). He also served on the boards of all four subsidiary companies under TPM, encompassing sectors such as biotechnology, advanced engineering, information technology, and higher education.

Dr. Sharbani's commitment to excellence and ability to deliver actionable insights make him a valuable asset to any organization seeking to achieve its strategic objectives. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Multimedia University (MMU), where he focused on innovation and technology management. He also earned an MBA in Venture Capital Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with memberships in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and CPA Australia.
